Monday was a normal day for us last week. Got school going and tried to get things for the week planned out. Tuesday we had a Squadron Thanksgiving picnic. It was a chilly day to be out at the lake, but with 1200 plus people around most of us stayed plenty warm. Wednesday was a day of baking and preparing for Thanksgiving. Thursday found us driving an hour out to our friends' house to join in celebration there. And let me tell you....I shouldn't have bothered taking anything to eat! The literal MOUNTAINS of food were still tall hills when everyone was leaving late in the evening. Even after taking some leftovers to enjoy later there was still LOTS of food! Good thing they have a walk-in fridge/freezer to store it all!! The rest of our weekend was spent doing small projects around the house as we continue to prepare for more kids to come home.
Our new curriculum is working out well. So well in fact that we are switching Lex over to it as well. Kerrie is preparing to move back to the front bedroom in the house so that she will be able to share a room with a new sister, and we are going to turn her current bedroom into a schoolroom/playroom. Lots of changes, but all for the better!
